Proposal Title: Crypt of the Light Tree, 03/18/2008, Other
Proposal Synopsis: A place of mourning and memories is necessary to cast a shadow over the injustice and impunity, but it is also necessary a symbol of hope and a brighter future for the people of Iraq, a symbol of the seed that will grow trough the strength of new generations to come with strong foundations in their culture and their faith, my purpose it is not to appoint the injustice or a war reminder but a place to be remembered as a message of the resurrection and a life of justice beyond this world beyond this present time.
Respectfully I have tried to join the concepts in which are based constructions of the Moslem religion, the geometric motives and symbols of the Islam, and two messages full of hope and faith of the sacred Koran, projected in a light beam trough a tree to a wall to enlighten the darkness of the crypt dedicated to the memory of the innocent ones, remembered in the recollections in the wooden leaves of the tree.
Peace on me on the day I was born, and on the day I die, and on the day I am raised to life.
