Proposal Title: The ascending Garden, 12/08/2007, Sculpture
The proposal is defined as a element of concrete that takes the form of the silhouette of the country of iraq. The board emerges from the ground and a series of plaques absolute vertical and the intercept as marking a tour of the wind, all are targeted in the same direction but do not have the same height, the difference in heights symbolizes the thousands of men, women and children deaths in the war in iraq.
War is the breakdown of coexistence among nations, the board that emerges from the soil is an ascending garden, a green space and optimistic to be careful in the same way as the coexistence of humans, through this we look at the future .
Under this board this green shadow of death, tells us that war is a latent shadow, which can only be overcome through the union.
The vertical boards are written with messages of peace and names of the victims.
The memorial can be deployed at any extensive ground, or even inside the city, for example in the middle of a deserted place. The size of the memorial is 20x20 meters.
Artist's Biography: Rolando Rojas, architect, member of A-MINIMAL STUDIO located in Santiago Chile, is dedicated to the development of architecture and art projects, assembling and painting exhibitions.
The year 2005 wins the contest for the monument to German reunification in the city of Temuco, chile and a finalist the year 2007 in the international contest UNESCO emergency housing for victims of natural disasters.
